Hello families: In the past I have been able to burn a dvd movie for each student. Unfortunately, the program is no longer on the computers that I need to burn it this year. Below is a link to the movie that I was able to upload in to google docs. I hope this will work and be as meaningful!

Dear families, where oh where has the school year gone! I cannot believe we are at the end! I have so enjoyed having your children this year. This group is a very kind, considerate group, who genuinely want to do a good job and care about others! It has ben an honor to be their teacher this year, and for some last year as well. I am so thankful for your trust, patience, and support this year. I hope you all have a great summer and enjoy these moments when they are young!
Student Share: Ask me about!
**Due to the projects that are needed to finish and special events going on, there will be no more student stories. Instead, I will post things that you can ask your child about their week. This is the last newsletter of the year!!!!!
*Ask your child about their life science project.
*Ask them about the symposium we have planned for May 22!
*Ask your child about the Social Studies projects and/or debate questions.
*Ask your child about their specials this week.
*Ask your child about our read aloud, A Night Divided.
*Ask your child about their literature circle book.
*Ask your child about math this week.
Homework:
*Reading: 4 nights of reading a week for 30 minutes a night.
*Social Studies: All projects and quizzes are uploaded. Students are welcome and encouraged to watch the projects and take the quizzes. We will work on our debate next week.
*Check planner for an additional assignments and important events during the week.
*Life Science projects: These were supposed to be completed today! There will be limited class work time before our symposium share on May 22. Hope to see you there. Please RSVP to Mrs. Germaine!!
Backpacks next week:
Please have your child bring their backpacks EVERDAY!! We will be cleaning things out and many folders and materials will be sent home!!
Norwich Field Day is May 23rd. Field day is a favorite for our kids and we need volunteers to make it successful. Times are: 4/5 9:15-11:15, 2/3 11:15-1:15 and K/1 1:15-3:15.
Each class will rotate through 8 activity stations, including one snack station. Volunteers are needed at each station. Please remember to have your child pack his/her lunch that day.

Please make sure all our materials form the Norwich Media Center, the classroom, and any where else in Norwich are returned as soon as possible!
4/5 Intermediate Party:
Hi 4/5 families! Below is the volunteer & donation sign up link for the upcoming 4/5 Year End party on 5/25 from 12:30-3:00. We have planned a DJ, pizza, snow cones, a bounce house (no water), and some other group activities this year.
We would like it if your 5th graders all wore the color BLUE on Thurs. 5/25 and the 4th graders all wear WHITE. We will have some fun games that are 4th vs. 5th.
